Lyle Clyde Seger


Lyle was a well-travelled man. He was born January 11, 1886 in Cheboygan, Michigan to Hiram and Sarah Seger.

In 1910, Lyle was working for a lumber mill in Falls, Hood River, Oregon in the Nataional Forest. In 1917, his War Registration card showed his permanent address as the Albany Hotel in San Francisco. His mother in Cheboygan was the next of kin. He was working as a driller for Schaw Batcher in the ship yard.

In August, 1932, he arrived in Philadelphia from Las Piedras, Venezuela on board the MV Gulf Hawk. His address was in New York, and in 1940, he was in San Joaquin, California. He was a marine engineer. In 1942 he docked in New Orleans on board the Yarmouth and in 1944 in New York on the Charles A McAllister. He died in Sacramento, California on March 30, 1959. He was buried in the Masonic Lawn Cemetery.
