Fred Lyle Tallman was the second born child of William and Vera Tallman. He was born on September 15, 1915.

Fred married Elsie Swenor prior to enlisting in the American military during World War 2 in 1942 though he was still single in 1940.

Fred died on April 27, 1984 at the age of 68 in Cheboygan, Michigan He was buried in Pine Hill Cemetery. Elsie died in 2006.
