Edith M. Clark


Edith M. Clark was Thomas and Jane Clark's second oldest child. She lived 77 years from 1875 to 1952.

She grew up in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a teacher in Douglas, Minnesota in 1896 and 1897. Then she worked at the Kenyon Leader until her marriage to a barber named Carl Williamson on January 10, 1900. The newspaper gave them a free lifetime subscription as a wedding present.

After getting married they lived in Kenyon, Owatonna, and St. Paul Minnesota having seven children over the years, though two died young. They raised four girls and one boy.

Carl died on July 16, 1951, and Edith died on September 21, 1952. She is buried in Roseville, Minnesota.
