Emma Clark's California death record says she was born on December 24, 1878. A birth record in Michigan for a Dalia Clark with parents Oliver and Alice Clark states a birth date of December 20, 1878. I think it is mostly likely the same person.

Emma's obituary states the family moved to California in 1885. She married John P. Downey on April 20, 1901 in Riverside, California. They moved to San Bernardino where their daughter Dorothy was born in 1904 and later to Los Angeles.

A year after her father died in 1913, Emma traveled with her mother and her daughter to Michigan for the summer to visit family members.

In 1934, Emma and her brother visited Elisnore Valley for Memorial Day.

John died in 1943. Emma died in 1960 leaving one daughter, three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was buried in Elsinore Valley Cemetery.
