William Little was born in 1808 in Ireland.  He married Jane West and they had 10 children.  The first four were born in Ireland, so the moved to Canada sometime between 1845 and 1847.

On the 1851 census, William was listed as a farmer in Gloucester, Ontario.  They moved to South Pontiac, Quebec by 1861. and McKellar Township near Parry Sound, Ontario by 1871.

William died on May 7, 1879.
