Isabella Milne was born February 6, 1857 in Pilkington township, Wellington County, Ontario to George Milne and Helen Hay. She was baptised in Elora Presbyterian church on June 7, 1857. She was the eldest of eight children.

By 1871 the family had moved to Parry Sound where Isabella married Alfred Badger. They had 12 children.

Isabella died from meningitis on March 16, 1895.
