Jean Phyllis MacPherson was the fourth and final, daughter born to JP and Barbara MacPherson. She may have been born in Calgary, Alberta. but moved at a young age to Englehart, Ontario where she was raised.

Jean married Robert Charles Barton and had one son - Robert. Jean outlived her husband, but died on November 25, 2014 in Huntsville, Ontario at the age of 92. She was survived by her son, two granddaughters, and two great granddaughters. She was buried in the family plot in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Jean was the last of her siblings to die.
