George 'Joe' Smith was the only son of John Conrad and Gladys Smith. He was born on January 24, 1940 and died on September 12, 2013 in Parry Sound, Ontario.

Joe married Gwen Kolisnek.  They had three children - Connie, Leisa, and Stacey.
