Darren suffered many medical conditions since his birth on July 17, 1978. At the age of five his family moved to Durango, Colorado from Anaheim where he was born. Darren enjoyed music.

Darren died on August 12, 2010. He was survived by his six siblings, his parents, and several aunts and uncles.

Durango resident Darren Christopher Mayer died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at his home. He was 32. He suffered from a number of medical issues during his life, but the specific cause of death is undetermined.

Mr. Mayer was born to Raymond and LaVerna Mayer on July 17, 1978, in Anaheim, Calif. He lived for five years in Southern California before moving to Durango with his family. Mr. Mayer attended several local special-education schools.

He enjoyed music.

Mr. Mayer is survived by his parents, Raymond and LaVerna Mayer, of Durango, sisters Pamela Kelso and Valerie Masters, both of Durango, Raylene Mayer of Redondo Beach, Calif.; Jeanitte Boyer of Corona, Calif., and Kimberly Jensen of Norco, Calif.; brother, David Mayer, of Norco, Calif.; and several aunts and uncles.

A service will be held in California.
