Walter Albert Wimhurst


Walter Albert Wimhurst was born January 16, 1895 in England. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1907 and moved to Englehart, Ontario. In 1918 Walter joined the army in World War 1, but was put on indefinite leave for farm duties. He was then discharged in January 1919. He married Beatrice Reid and they had twins that died young.  Walter lived on Vinet Ave in Montreal and was in the repair business in the late 1950's and then a store owner in the mid 1960's. 

After his wife Beatrice died in 1965, Walter had remarried to another lady named Beatrice and was retired in 1968. In 1979 he was living in Brockville, Ontario.

Walter died in 1983 and is buried next to his first wife Beatrice in Les Jardins Commenmoratifs Lakeview Memorial Gardens (Pointe-Claire) in Montreal, Quebec.
