Harriet and her twin brother Harold were born on April 21, 1905 in Kenyon, Minnesota according to the birth record, but the local Kenyon Leader newspaper said they were born on Thursday April 20th.

Harriet was quite involved in Church plays and activities growing up in Owatonna. She later moved with her parents to St. Paul, Minnesota.

She was the gift shop coordinator of St. Luke's Hospital.

It does not appear that Harriet ever married.

In her later years, she lived in Pensacola, Florida where she died on August 3, 1993. Harriet was buried at Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville, Minnesota.
