Darius Williams Detlor was born February 13, 1864.  He was raised in Sheffield Township, Ontario.  On May 18, 1886 he married Eva Jones in Newburgh, Ontario.  They had 10 children - six girls and four boys.

Eva died in 1936 and Darius died in 1951 and is buried in the Tamworth United Church cemetery.
